This is a Redstar sponsored event, so we must operate by FAST/RPA guidelines. During the daily air shows, each member must have a current wing or lead card and must be solo. During the morning training missions and mass arrivals, we may carry a back-seater and fly formations that are driven by the experience level and currency of individual flight members. OshKosh is not a place for an inexperienced individual to try and get “qualified”. The bottom line is that we will fly smart and not press any boundaries. All RedStar members should contact myself if they want to participate, so that we can set up the morning training sorties and mass arrivals to best fit our experience and currency levels.
This year we are having two “mass arrivals”. Sunday is considered a training event and includes veteran OshKosh leads. We will fly small groups out to KCWA in preparation for a larger “mass formation” training sortie returning to KOSH. This will be repeated on Monday out of KUNU.
